What I’ve been thinking lately after researching and talking about ASEAN

Japan has many years of experience in developing formal services such as social security systems, professional elderly care services, and NCD countermeasures. But on the other hand, it can be said that the function of local mutual-aid systems has declined in the midst of economic growth.
The ASEAN countries have various examples of such regional roles, and there are many lessons for Japan to learn from them. It is important that international cooperation in the field of aging-related measures does not involve unilateral technology transfer, but rather an attitude of learning together with the Japanese side.
